Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder

ADHD is divided into 3 categories:

1. Predominantly has attention difficulties
2. Predominantly is hyperactive
3. Combined, means having both attention difficulties and hyperactivity

Common symptoms include:

• doesn’t listen when being spoken to
• day dreams
• forgets their homework
• doesn’t do their homework
• can’t sit still
• is disruptive in the classroom
• displays behavior problems
• is implusive
• teacher is continuously complaining of child’s poor behavior
