Learning Disabilities

A Learning Disability is defined as having weakness in certain academic areas. It does not mean that your child has intellectual limitations.

There are learning disorders in various areas, some involve:

• Reading
• Spelling
• Arithmetic
• Memory
• Receptive Language: meaning difficulty understanding verbal instructions
• Expressive Language: meaning difficulty with speech
